What I like best about Francine Prose is that I walk away from every chapter with an ever-growing reading list. For instance, I'm incredibly into the idea of reading the Von Kleist story because it sounds incredibly like Candide and I greatly enjoyed Candide.

She really does back up her claim as a voracious reader with a name-drop list longer than that kid's in high school who always knew a guy. You know the kid I'm talking about, every high school had one.
Von Kliest is good. He is a good guy. His stories are good too.
